A full custom truck build is a ground-up engineering program that reimagines a factory truck for a specific purpose — daily driver, weekend desert runner, overland rig, or trailer-towing tow pig — without compromising the systems the factory got right. Build Spec & Quote

We engineer the parts list around your goals and give you a fixed quote and timeline. You see every line item.

Deposit & Order

Half down to lock the build slot and order parts. We start the second the long-lead items hit the shop.

Build Phase

Weekly photo updates throughout. We do every disassembly, fab, install, and alignment in-house. No parts farmed out.

05

Delivery & Drive

Final road-and-trail test, alignment recheck, full detail. Drive home or we'll arrange transport anywhere in the lower 48.

How long does a custom truck build at TMX take?
Most full custom truck builds at Texas Motorworx run 8 to 16 weeks from deposit to delivery. A standard suspension-and-lighting build runs 4 to 6 weeks. A full long-travel desert build with race-grade components and custom fab runs 12 to 16 weeks. Timing depends mostly on parts availability — long-travel kits and custom Carli leaf packs can have multi-week lead times.
How much does a full custom build cost?
A full custom truck build at TMX typically runs $25,000 to $150,000+ depending on platform and scope. Baseline builds with suspension, wheels, tires, and lighting start around $25K. Mid-tier builds with long-travel components and full bumpers run $50K–$80K. Race-grade desert builds with custom fab and complete drivetrain work reach $100K–$150K and beyond.
Do I need to be in Dallas to work with TMX?
No. About 30% of our customers ship trucks in from outside the DFW metro — Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Lubbock, and farther. We arrange enclosed transport, handle all communication remotely, and post weekly photo updates so you can follow the build. Many customers fly into DAL or DFW to pick up the finished truck and drive it home.
What truck platforms can you build?
Texas Motorworx specializes in Ford Raptor (Gen 1, 2, 3, and Raptor R), Ford Bronco and Bronco Raptor, Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350, Ram 1500 TRX, and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma. We also take custom GM and Ram builds by request.
