Texas Motorworx is a Dallas-based custom truck and performance off-road build shop, founded in 2012 by mechanical engineers Jason Cook and Sam Bryce. We build Ford Raptor, Bronco, Super Duty, Ram TRX, and Toyota platforms, and race a SPEC TT/6100 truck in the Best In the Desert series.
For performance off-road components, we may not be your first call, but we will probably be your last.

THE ORIGIN
From a Starbucks napkin to 12,000 sqft
Texas Motorworx was founded in 2012 by Jason Cook on a Starbucks napkin in Dallas. Sam Bryce joined as co-owner in September 2014. Both Jason and Sam are mechanical engineers — that engineering DNA is the defining feature of how we build trucks today.
The first shop was a 2-car residential garage in McKinney, Texas — quickly evicted by the HOA. The second shop was a 1,100 sqft single-bay rental. The third was the breakthrough: a small but proper facility that hosted the build of the Gas Monkey Energy Ford Raptor (debuted at the 2016 Texas Raptor Run). Today the company operates out of a 12,000 sqft facility at 11419 Ferrell Dr, Suite 104, Dallas, TX 75234.
We began racing SPEC TT/6100 in the Best In the Desert series in 2021. The race program is one truck. The reason it exists is calibration data — every part, every spring rate, every shock spec we run on the race truck eventually shows up in customer builds.

That's the mission, written exactly the way it sits on the wall in the shop. Build trucks. Meet builders. Enjoy the life that comes with it. We don't pretend the work is anything more than it is — and we don't apologize for being good at it.

The TMX shop is a 12,000 sqft facility on the Farmers Branch / North Dallas line. We're roughly 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, 5 from the LBJ Freeway, and easy access from US-75 and the Dallas North Tollway. Visitors are welcome during business hours — many of our customers swing by during their build for in-person walkthroughs.
