Ram TRX & Toyota Builds

Beyond the Ford lineup, Texas Motorworx builds the Ram 1500 TRX (2021+) and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma platforms. The TRX is the only modern truck with a supercharged HEMI under the hood and the only direct competitor to the Raptor's high-performance off-road brief — every TRX we build leaves the shop quicker, more composed, and visually distinct from the factory truck. The 22+ Toyota Tundra and the long-running Tacoma platforms each take a different build approach but share the same goal: take an excellent factory truck and raise the ceiling. Most TRX builds run $25K–$90K; Tundra and Tacoma builds run $15K–$60K. Build time: 6 to 12 weeks.

Platform-specific scoping

TRX, Tundra, and Tacoma each take dramatically different builds. The TRX wants a Raptor-grade desert program; Tundra builds focus on long-travel; Tacomas focus on lightweight desert capability.

Spec & quote

Fixed quote and timeline scoped to the platform and the build path you want.

Suspension build phase

Long-travel kits, King shocks, coilovers, leaf packs — installed with the alignment and geometry done from scratch.

Performance & lighting

Whipple supercharger upgrades on TRX, Cobb tunes on TRX and Tundra, Baja Designs lighting integration across all platforms.

Validation & delivery

Pavement and trail test, alignment recheck, full QC. Drive home or arranged transport.

Common Ram TRX Questions

How long does a Ram TRX or Toyota Tundra build take?
Most TRX and Tundra builds at TMX run 6 to 12 weeks from deposit to delivery. Bolt-on suspension and lighting builds run 4 to 6 weeks. Long-travel programs with Whipple supercharger upgrades or full ADD bumper packages run 10 to 12 weeks.
How much does a TRX or Tundra build cost?
A custom Ram 1500 TRX build at TMX runs $25,000 to $90,000+ depending on whether it includes a Whipple supercharger upgrade. A Toyota Tundra (22+) ICON Stage 7 build runs $35K–$60K. A Tacoma desert build with Total Chaos long-travel runs $25K–$50K.
Do you install Whipple supercharger upgrades on TRX?
Yes. TMX is an authorized Whipple Superchargers installer. We typically pair the Whipple upgrade with a Cobb tune, S&B intake, and a high-flow exhaust to fully realize the performance jump.
Do you ship trucks from outside Dallas?
Yes. About 30% of our Ram and Toyota customers ship trucks in from outside the DFW metro. We coordinate enclosed transport and post weekly photo updates.
Are you authorized for ICON, King, Camburg, and Total Chaos?
Yes. Texas Motorworx is an authorized dealer for ICON Vehicle Dynamics, King Shocks, Camburg Engineering, Total Chaos Fabrication, Whipple Superchargers, and Cobb Tuning across the Ram and Toyota platforms.
