CUSTOM TRUCK SERVICES
Six specialized programs across every performance off-road platform we work on. Each program engineered around a specific vehicle and use case.
Full Custom Truck Builds
A full custom truck build is a ground-up engineering program that reimagines a factory truck for a specific purpose — daily driver, weekend desert runner, overland rig, or trailer-towing tow pig — without compromising the systems the factory got right. Texas Motorworx in Dallas, TX has delivered over 500 full custom builds since 2012 across Ford Raptor, Bronco, Super Duty, Ram TRX, and Toyota platforms. Most full builds run between $25,000 and $150,000+ in parts and labor and complete in 8 to 16 weeks from deposit to delivery.
Ford Raptor Builds
A Ford Raptor build is the most-requested program at Texas Motorworx and the platform we know best. We've built every generation of Raptor since the truck launched — Gen 1 (2011–2014), Gen 2 (2017–2020), and Gen 3 (2021+) including the Raptor R and 37 Performance Package. The Raptor's factory engineering is exceptional, but the chassis still has substantial untapped headroom — long-travel conversions can take front travel from ~13" factory to nearly 16", and properly tuned aftermarket shocks transform the rough-terrain composure entirely. Most TMX Raptor builds run $30K–$120K and complete in 6 to 14 weeks.
Ford Bronco Builds
A Ford Bronco build at Texas Motorworx takes the 2021+ Bronco — including the 22+ Bronco Raptor — and turns it into a serious desert/overland platform without losing the capable trail manners that made the truck a hit. The Sasquatch package is a great starting point but it's tuned for a broad-spectrum buyer; serious Bronco owners quickly outrun the factory FOX shocks and need real long-travel hardware. Most TMX Bronco builds run $20K–$80K and complete in 6 to 12 weeks. We're an authorized ICON Vehicle Dynamics dealer for the Bronco-specific Stage 4 and Stage 7 long-travel programs.
Ford Super Duty Builds
A Ford Super Duty build at Texas Motorworx takes the F-250 or F-350 — 2017–2022 or 2023+ generation — and reworks the suspension and chassis for the use case the factory truck doesn't quite serve: an unloaded daily that doesn't hammer over expansion joints, a tow rig that stays planted with a 30-foot trailer, or a ranch truck that runs unimproved roads at speed. We are an authorized Carli Suspension dealer — Carli's Pintop and Backcountry packages are the gold standard for Super Duty ride quality. Most Super Duty builds run $20K–$70K and complete in 6 to 12 weeks.
Ram TRX & Toyota Builds
Beyond the Ford lineup, Texas Motorworx builds the Ram 1500 TRX (2021+) and Toyota Tundra and Tacoma platforms. The TRX is the only modern truck with a supercharged HEMI under the hood and the only direct competitor to the Raptor's high-performance off-road brief — every TRX we build leaves the shop quicker, more composed, and visually distinct from the factory truck. The 22+ Toyota Tundra and the long-running Tacoma platforms each take a different build approach but share the same goal: take an excellent factory truck and raise the ceiling. Most TRX builds run $25K–$90K; Tundra and Tacoma builds run $15K–$60K. Build time: 6 to 12 weeks.
Long-Travel Suspension Conversions
Long-travel suspension is the conversion that transforms a fast factory truck into a race-grade desert truck. Texas Motorworx specializes in long-travel programs for Ford Raptor (Gen 2 and Gen 3), Bronco Raptor, Ram TRX, and Toyota Tundra/Tacoma platforms. A long-travel build replaces the stamped factory upper and lower control arms with billet/tubular pieces that move the upper ball joint outboard, then mounts new King 3.0 race-series coilovers in a relocated upper bracket. The result: 14"–16" of front travel (up from 10"–13" factory) and a chassis that finally lets the wheels work over rough terrain. Most long-travel builds run $30K–$80K and complete in 8 to 14 weeks.
